The Qualifi Level 4 qualification is designed for practitioners who wish to progress into advanced aesthetic treatments while developing a deeper understanding of skin science, consultation and safe clinical practice. This higher education level qualification provides structured training in advanced skin treatments including chemical peels, microneedling and more in learners would like to such as IPL Laser and Dermaplaning. Level 4 study bridges the gap between traditional beauty therapy and advanced aesthetic practice. Learners develop the knowledge, skills and professional responsibility required to perform treatments safely and effectively while understanding the science behind aesthetic procedures.
What the Level 4 Qualification Covers
During this qualification learners develop both theoretical and practical knowledge across several advanced aesthetic treatments and core clinical principles.
Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures
The Qualifi Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation is an advanced aesthetic training qualification designed for practitioners progressing into professional aesthetic treatments such as chemical peels, microneedling, laser and skin rejuvenation procedures. This regulated qualification provides learners with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to deliver safe and effective advanced aesthetic treatments within the aesthetics industry.
Successful completion will give learners the QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures, a recognised qualification supporting progression into advanced aesthetic practice, skin rejuvenation treatments and regulated aesthetic training pathways.
Mandatory units include:
• Health, safety and hygiene for aesthetic procedures – learners will be able to apply their knowledge and understanding of implementing essential health, safety and hygiene measures when preparing for and delivering professional aesthetic treatments and advanced skin procedures.
• Client consultation for aesthetic procedures – this unit underpins the practical technical units within the qualification. Learners will be able to conduct detailed consultations and skin assessments to determine and adapt aesthetic treatments such as microneedling, chemical peels and skin rejuvenation procedures to meet client needs and achieve safe outcomes.
• The biochemistry and biology of cells – learners will develop knowledge of the biology of skin cells, cellular regeneration and tissue repair, understanding how cell specialisation and organisation lead to increasing biological complexity within the human body.
• Skin morphology and the inflammatory response – learners will understand the structure and function of the skin, facial anatomy and ageing processes, including the inflammatory response, skin remodelling and the effect of ageing on facial bones and tissues relevant to advanced aesthetic treatments.
• Skin disorders and diseases relative to aesthetic practice – learners will develop knowledge of common skin types, skin disorders and dermatological conditions alongside the ageing process and the underpinning anatomy and physiology of facial structures including muscles, bones and nerve supply.
• Skincare to support aesthetic procedures – learners will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide professional facial skincare treatments designed to prepare and maintain skin health prior to advanced aesthetic procedures such as chemical peels and microneedling.
• Skin rejuvenation using microneedling – learners will develop practical competence using automated and handheld microneedling devices for collagen induction therapy, improving skin texture and reducing skin imperfections, acne scarring and mild pigmentary conditions.
• Skin rejuvenation using superficial chemical peels – learners will gain the knowledge and practical skills required to select and apply appropriate superficial chemical peel treatments to improve skin tone, texture and overall skin rejuvenation.
Additional Optional Units (Additional Cost)
Learners may also choose to extend their advanced aesthetic training qualification by completing additional specialist units including:
• Skin rejuvenation using mesotherapy – learners will develop knowledge and practical skills in the use of mesotherapy devices and products to support skin rejuvenation and improve overall skin quality.
• Skin rejuvenation using laser, light and energy-based devices – learners will gain understanding and practical skills in using laser and IPL technologies for advanced skin rejuvenation and treatment of mild skin concerns.
• Skin rejuvenation using dermaplaning – learners will develop the skills required to perform safe and effective dermaplaning treatments designed to remove dead skin cells and encourage skin renewal, either as a standalone treatment or to prepare the skin for further aesthetic procedures.

Entry Requirements
This qualification is ideal for practitioners who wish to progress into advanced aesthetic treatments and regulated aesthetic qualifications.
Pre-course requirements include:
• Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification or substantial industry experience
• Level 3 First Aid and Anaphylaxis Management training
Learners must attend practical training days at our aesthetic training academy in Cosford, alongside completing home study, coursework and assignments required to achieve the qualification.
Career Progression
Successful completion of the Qualifi Level 4 Aesthetic Procedures Diploma allows learners to progress into further advanced aesthetic qualifications including Level 5, Level 6 and Level 7 aesthetic practice programmes.
